1. ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  1. Virtual reality try-on

    This Website may offer You a virtual reality application allowing You to try out make-up or hair colour online. You can choose to try it out via your device’s webcam or by uploading a photo from your device.

    You are free to choose not to use this service.

    We do not store the results of the experience. The photo is automatically deleted once the results of the experience have been displayed.

    If you share the results of the experience outside our virtual reality app (via sharing from your device), We are not involved in this sharing and cannot be considered to be processing your personal data).

  2. Artificial intelligence-based skin analysis

    This Website may offer Users a skin analysis service. This online service is capable of detecting and analysing the signs of ageing in your skin using artificial intelligence. Your photo will be analysed based on your age and skin type. You will discover your skin profile and a personalised beauty routine. The Website may offer You the option to receive your skin profile and personalised beauty routine by email and, if You wish, to subscribe to the newsletter. You are free to choose not to use this service.

    The photo is not stored and is deleted immediately after the analysis.

  3. Product tests and samples

    The Website may allow Users to take part in product testing and sample campaigns. The purpose of these services is to enable Us to gather your opinions and comments on our products so that We can better meet your wishes and needs.

    These services are governed by specific terms and conditions. You are free to choose whether or not to participate.

    For further information about these services and the terms and conditions of participation, We invite You, where applicable, to consult the Terms and Conditions of Use for Product Testing Campaigns and Samples available on the Website.

  4. Booking an appointment (in-store or online)

    The Website may offer You the option to book an appointment online or in-store with one of our brand’s beauty consultants.

    To book an appointment, You will need to select a type of service, a date and a time slot marked as available with the selected beauty advisor. You will need to provide your first name, surname, email address or telephone number (in the latter case, only if You wish to receive a confirmation and a reminder by text message). You can change or cancel this appointment at any time.

    By choosing a video conference appointment, You authorise your browser to activate your camera so that You can connect with the beauty advisor. The video conference takes place live and is not recorded.

  5. Video conference

    The Website may allow You to use a video consultation feature. This is a online service offering a live remote consultation with our experts. The expert can answer questions and activate the virtual trial of products available on the website page. You can test the products via the virtual trial, make purchases and proceed to payment without leaving the video conference.

    By using this service, You authorise Aesop to activate your camera to connect You with the expert. In order to provide You with the best advice on our products, the expert is informed of the page You were viewing when You connected to this service.

    The video consultation is a live experience and will not be recorded.

2. REVIEWS / FORUM

The Website may allow Users to post reviews (including photos) of our products and services, enabling Us to better understand your wishes and needs.

The Website may also allow You to access and participate in a Forum where You can post content (comments and photos), either by joining an existing discussion or by creating a new topic.

By publishing content on the Website, You represent and warrant that:

    1. Your reviews and content comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use, in particular with Article 5, ‘Code of Conduct’;
    2. You are the author of the reviews and content that You publish, that You do not present yourself under a false pretence or under the identity of another person, and that You do not use a false email address;
    3. Your content is original work that does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party and, more generally, that it complies with the provisions of Article 4 ‘Intellectual Property’ of these General Terms and Conditions of Use;
    4. All reviews and content that You publish are true and accurate.

You also warrant that You will not publish any reviews or content:

    1. which contains information (including pricing information) relating to competitors of Aesop or their products, whether they are manufacturers, distributors or retailers of beauty or health products;
    2. which has any purpose other than to give your opinion on the products listed on the Website;
    3. for which You would receive, from a third party, any form of consideration whatsoever, including financial;
    4. which could constitute a form of advertising or solicitation to purchase (including any review or content that would deter Users from the Website and from Aesop);
    5. which contains references or URLs to other websites, email addresses, contact details or telephone numbers;
    6. which contains instructions for creating computer viruses or any other element likely to damage computer programmes or files.

Aesop reserves the right to restrict or suspend access for any User who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use and may refuse, modify, correct or remove any content that Aesop considers to be in breach of these terms. In all cases, Aesop reserves the right not to publish:

    1. duplicate content;
    2. empty reviews;
    3. reviews in a language other than Danish
    4. unintelligible reviews (such as those containing unknown characters or incomprehensible expressions).

We cannot guarantee that You will be able to edit or delete any reviews or content that You post on the Website. All reviews, comments or content will be reviewed to ensure they comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use. Reviews, comments or content are generally published within a maximum of 72 hours.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

a. Intellectual property rights

The Website and each of its constituent elements (such as trademarks, images, text, videos, etc.) are protected by intellectual property rights. We may make content available to You on this Website that You are authorised to download (hereinafter the “Downloadable Content”). b. Third-party rights

We remind You that You must obtain all necessary authorisations and rights from the various rights holders concerned by any content that You wish to publish on the Website, including all intellectual property rights and/or literary, artistic and/or industrial property rights, as well as personality rights (and in particular image rights), so that You may use said content without hindrance. For example, You must obtain the rights to the content assigned to, and in particular the copyright to the photographs, as well as to all elements appearing in said content, such as architectural elements, design elements, advertising creations, or even clothing designs.

c. User Content

We may make available on this Website a space intended to host user content, such as text, photos, videos, reviews, etc. (hereinafter “User Content”).

You are advised that these social media platforms are owned by third parties and that, consequently, the distribution and use of User Content on these platforms are governed by the terms of use established by those third parties. Consequently, We cannot be held liable for any use of the User Content by ourselves or by third parties in accordance with the terms of use established by the social media platforms, and in particular, in terms of the scope of rights granted, the duration of such rights and the removal of User Content. You shall be solely responsible for any third-party claims relating to the use of the Content in accordance with the terms of use established by the social media platforms.

Furthermore, We would like to remind You in particular that any User Content may be indexed by a search engine and, therefore, viewed by an audience outside of the Website.
